<aside> 💡 Important If you are to use these rules, especially for some mechanics, let your players know in advance. It might make a difference in their character.

First, set a number of progress phases. Each with individual Progress Breakpoints, a Progress Skill required to fulfill the Phase and all possible Progress Blockers.
For every 2 hours of work, a character works on the task they can roll a progression Check. If they make multiple checks in a day the Progress and Failure Thresholds will go up as per this table:
Progression Points are what is left after subtracting the Threshold from the player's roll. For example, if the player has a 16 + 4 arcana and the Threshold is 12, the player gets 20-12 = 8 points.
The Failure Points work the same just in reverse. If the Failure Threshold is 6 and the player rolls a 1+4 = 5, they get 1 Failure Point.
The points simply get added together in the Accumulated Points until the player reaches the next Progress Breakpoint. If the Breakpoint does not complete the task, all points beyond the Phase's required amount get carried over to the next Phase.
After a Breakpoint is passed the player gets some intermediate result. So if they are analysing something they learn of some property (and/or how to use it). If they are crafting something they receive a pre-state of the product, which might already have some function of its own.
Now the next Phase begins. Adjust all Thresholds*,* the required Progress Skill, as well as the Blocker.
